Obama Projected to Win Pennsylvania
November 4, 2008 | 8:03 p.m
ABC News just called Pennsylvania for Barack Obama. If the projection hold, it should mean that Obama has a hold on all of the states that John Kerry won in 2004, for a total of 252 electoral votes. Add to that Iowa, a Bush '04 state that Obama has led by double digits for months, and he has a very firm grip on 259 electoral votes. That means that a win in just one sizable Republican state--like Indiana or Virginia or North Carolina--should put him past 270.
