Poll: Bloomberg for Governor Over Paterson and Cuomo

These pre-pre election polls have limited significance for any actual contest, but according to this poll from Siena, Michael Bloomberg is benefiting from his continued popularity as mayor, beating both David Paterson and Andrew Cuomo in a hypothetical gubernatorial election.
Here are some other interesting bits:
Paterson wins over Andrew Cuomo among upstate Democratic voters, 51-28.
Rudy Giuliani beats Bloomberg among Jewish Republican voters, 80-20.
Bloomberg beats Paterson among independent voters, 62-26.
And Giuliani edges Paterson among upstate voters, 43-42.
The poll was conducted by phone between July 7 and 10 and included responses from 626 registered voters.

Charlie Rangel was right. Reporters are just plain stupid. Who really cares; don't you have real news to track down? Only person laughing is Kevin Sheekey on how you suck up to him time after time.
New York voters are too idiotic to vote in someone with half a brain or a capital R behind their name. Therefore, New Yorkers get the government they deserve.
If Mayor Mike Bloomberg (I-NYC, NY) wants to be elected Governor of New York State in 2010, he would have to compete for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination against incumbent Governor David Paterson (D-NY), should he decide to run for a full term, and/or State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (D-NY). Realistically, Mayor Bloomberg has no chance of winning the governorship in New York State as a Republican or an Independent, which he is neither since he is still ideologically too far to the left, considering the state’s electorate is still strongly pro-Democratic despite the Mayor’s growing popularity. In addition, the Democratic gubernatorial primary there is basically a general election unless there are unusual circumstances that take place. Therefore, Mr. Mayor, RUN AS A DEMOCRAT, since this is what you really are and that is your only way to win!!
If Bloomberg ran as a Democrat he'd have to first become a Democrat. Right now he's "unaffiliated" after dropping the Republican line earlier this year. That means theoretically he could run on the Independent and Republican lines, trounce any pipsqueak who'd challenge him the lead-up to the general election, watch Paterson and Cuomo bloody each other up and spend a lot of money, then blow the Democrat out of the water in November. Bloomberg may be liberal but he's been an excellent mayor. He's fiscally responsible, tough on crime, in touch with the communities and cares about New York. He'd kill either Paterson or Cuomo in a general election.
Plus, why would he run as a Democrat when all that will do is turn off Republican and Independent voters who put him in office in the first place?
Mayor Mike Bloomberg (I-NYC, NY) can only trounce Governor David Paterson (D-NY) and/or State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) in the Democratic gubernatorial primary. Mayor Bloomberg would only win as an Independent and/or Republican if and only if New York State is a swing state. Just look at many polls conducted so far for this year's presidential election in such state, in which Senator Barack Obama (D-IL), the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is beating Senator John McCain, the GOP standard-bearer, by a landslide! Doesn’t it tell you something?
