Skelos Issues Shark Warning to Golisano

In a letter dated today to billionaire Tom Golisano - who is vowing to pour $5 million into this year‘s elections - Republican Senate leader Dean Skelos makes the case that Republicans are the ones who have tried to make state government fiscally prudent and transparent.

And Skelos ends the letter by reminding Golisano, a Rochester man, that Democrats aren't so much from upstate. (Old theme!)

“Without the checks and balances we assure, state government would be totally controlled by Democrats from New York City. Keep in mind that a Democrat-controlled Senate would be lead by Malcolm Smith of Queens, Tom Duane from Greenwich Village (Manhattan) and Jeff Klein from the Bronx. The Assembly would be lead by Speaker Sheldon Silver of Manhattan. Thus, it is critical that you join our fight and help us achieve reform.”

Azi, I understand that your job is to cover politics, and everything politicians say, but this unfounded fear-mongering is pointless.

Shark attacks account for less than a sliver of all fatalities worldwide. And even when they are not fatal, shark attacks are rarer than airplane crashes or lightning strikes. So for you to play up this baseless fear-mongering effort by Skelos, simply to avoid having Golisano support Democrats in the fall, is irresponsible and dishonest.

Sharks do indeed kill people, but only rarely. Let's save the shark warnings for when there's actually a threat.

Look - Golisano is one of the biggest political whore ever lived - he is a loser and if he thinks that he can buy elections or turn the Senate Democrat with his blood money - then, he is not only a whore but a political idiot.

Let's not worry about this jerk - he needs to be taught a lesson for once and for all - many of these political wannabes in the past have spent so much money and the results were pathetic - so, Mr. Golisano, with that 5 million you should do something good and honest with your life...give it to starving children!
