Waiting for the West Coast to Put Obama Over the Top

Expect all of the major networks to call the presidency for Barack Obama in just a few minutes, when the polls close in the Democratic strongholds of California, Oregon and Washington. With Obama already at 207 electoral votes, those three states would bring his total to 279. Things should happen fast then: there will likely be news of a phone call from John McCain to Obama, a concession speech from McCain and finally a victory speech from Obama.
