Power Resigns From Obama Campaign

Shortly after a Clinton campaign conference call demanding she be dismissed, Samantha Power has resigned from the Obama campaign. Here's the statement e-mailed to reporters:

“'With deep regret, I am resigning from my role as an advisor the Obama campaign effective today. Last Monday, I made inexcusable remarks that are at marked variance from my oft-stated admiration for Senator Clinton and from the spirit, tenor, and purpose of the Obama campaign. And I extend my deepest apologies to Senator Clinton, Senator Obama, and the remarkable team I have worked with over these long 14 months,' said Samantha Powers."

Hillary Clinton wants tought accountability for other women but for herself its, "If I knew then what I know now."

Anonymous (not verified) says:

what I love most about her resignation is that, after she called Clinton a "monster," she tried to get out of it by saying that was off the record. and the reporter had none of it. brilliant.

Obama should hire James Carville and just be done with it.

Hillary Clinton and her Campaign operatives live in the biggest GLASS HOUSE in America, should stop lecturing others. Samantha Powers was doing an interview "off the record." Hillary Clinton and her version of Karl Rove, Howard Wolfsen, denigrate Barack Obama openly and w/out ANY reservations. Larry David got it right today on Huffingtonpost.com and The Washington Post chronicled the internal expletive-laden discourse at the Clinton Campaign HQ - yesterday. Samantha Powers is a top-notch, Pulitzer Prize winning foreign policy expert who misspoke, but has a point about HOW the Clintons are manipulating the Nomination process. Further, last week's NAFTA-gate episode, which we now know was propogated by the Clinton Campaign itself -- via THEIR direct communications w/the Canadian Government and doing themselves what was wrongly reported (and too late corrected by the Conservative Canadian Government and their "Press") as the Obama Campaign --is what Ms. Powers was referencing, no doubt.

Now, Hillary Clinton today, knowing NAFTA-gate was her Campaign's masterpiece before the OH vote (aka the tears in NH)) and her responsibility, not Barack Obama's -- is trying to tag Ms. Powers' with the very same lineage. What does that say -- about Hillary Clinton??? You may come close to Ms. Powers statement than you think.

Wait until the tax returns are released -- if ever. WHO would say they WON MI, when they BROKE THE RULES and ran alone???Turn the page.

For Republicans enjoying the Democratic meltdown and buying popcorn, perhaps after 7 years of the worst possible outcome for a Presidency and total lack of LEADERSHIP on ever level -- should hope for the best possible outcome for the sake of a Nation that deserves better than it has had. Perhaps, forgetting ideology and helping us turn the page is in order. Democrats have voted for Republican Mayors and Governors because they were the best for the jobs. Democrats CAN do this. WHEN will Republicans and Conservatives stop watching meltdowns and buying popcorn --and do what is right for America and Americans??? WHEN??? Our Nation is in MELTDOWN and lacks leadership, foreign governments are buying our assets and the Canadian Government just interfered in our Nomination Process. We ALL have much work to do. FOCUS and stop enjoying the sport of Politics. We need to turn the page.

I am all for this meltdown. The Democrats in power will pay for the failure of the economy, rightly or wrongly. It is a new day, and the US we once knew is no longer. Our standard of living is falling precipitously and shall continue it's decline.
The Baby Boomers will be hit the worst. They hold all the assets, but none of their children will be able to buy those assets when the Boomers sell them to finance their retirements.
Thanks Boomers. Worst generation ever.

I'll say it. Hillary Rodham Clinton is a monster.
She IS a monster.

renatam (not verified) says:

Hillary is a monster, but Obama is a monster in disguise. Vote Republican.
