Pro-Clinton 527 Ad in Ohio Echoes Clinton
March 4, 2008 | 2:49 p.m
COLUMBUS -- In an Ohio coffee shop just now, I saw a commercial by the pro-Clinton 527 the American Leadership Project, which started with a narrator saying speeches won’t bring jobs back to Ohio.
Like the version of the ad airing in Texas, the spot uses an American Beauty-like score and still images of laborers and Clinton, both hard at work. (Her version of hard at work usually involves her looking bemused or focused from a Senate committee desk.)
Besides the first line, there is nothing flagrantly negative about Barack Obama; the ad basically echoes Clinton’s own message of superior experience and effectiveness.
