Sarcasm Invades Pro-Clinton Petition
To be fair, I suspect it's pretty hard to verify electronic signatures, but even so, that petition circulated by two of Hillary Clinton's New Jersey-based supporters yesterday isn't--so far--generating a groundswell of support for reinstating delegates from Florida and Michigan.
It's gathered 263 signatures (the letter is undated), one of which is “Sinbad O’Tuzla.” Also, a sizable number of the names are simply listed as “Anonymous," at least one name is repeated, and a sample of other signatures include “Thisisajoke Really,” “Hills Alooser,” and “Rulesare Meant2Bbroken.”

WHAT IS CREATED IN JERSEY, SHOULD STAY IN JERSEY.
NEW JERSEY HAS ENOUGH OF ITS OWN PROBLEMS TO DEAL WITH.
This so-called 'petition' is being circulated by Hillary supporters --- STILL TRYING TO STEAL THE NOMINATION.
.
This is the best laugh I have had in months.
Why is it that everything Obamaliens are guilty of, they make it all Hillary's fault? Just saying. How do you say Bamboozled? Bamboozle the Caucus is not a dance. Who's stealing the election? Everytime you point a finger you have three fingers pointing back.
I am an Obama supporter. I understand that we democrats are divided regarding who we think will be the best nominee, who has the best chances, who inspires us personally the most etc. But what I do not understand is the childish tactics of name calling and reducing complicated issues into simple accusations. Mostly I'm tired of seeing Clinton supporters using words like Obamabots, Obamaliens and other silly names. Maybe it is a sign that even Clinton's supporters are becoming so frustrated with her prospects (diminishing) that they are losing control of their emotions I don't know, but it is ugly, and it needs to stop. The same is true of Obama supporters who behave this way (although I don't see it as often).
How are the Florida and Michigan voters responsible for the DNC's arbitrary rule?
POLITICS ASIDE, I challenge anyone to site a RATIONAL, LOGICAL reason why some states should have a say in the primary and others should not. And if so, why not take that argument to the general election as well. And do not cite the Constitution. The Principle is identical. Particularly as the selection of the nominee could very well determine the results of the general election.
Go ahead. Try. Not one journalist, political pundit, blogger, politician, or reporter has been able to make this argument on any rational basis.
Did everyone forget that we supposedly live in a democracy? Countless men and women have fought and lost their lives in the support of this democracy. How quickly people forget the ideals and sacrafices that this country, with all of it's imperfections, has been built upon. Actually they probably didn't forget, worse they just don't care.
It is absolutely extraordinary, how many indiviuals will hide behind rules, schedules and committees verus doing what they know is right.
The country spends well over $100 billion a year fighting in Iraq, so also let's please hear a response that doesn't relate to cost of holding new primaries. And yes these are costs incurred at the Federal level they, but of course are in fact incurred by tax payers residing in every state.
The WWII generation, widely considered the greatest generation in U.S. history, would likely be shocked at how far this country has sunk in strength of character.
Garrett Scott is rightfully upset with name-calling, but the silly things people call Obama supporters are nothing compared to the vicious names thrown at Hillary Clinton by some Obama supporters. Hillary-bashers seek not only to diminish her and to ridicule her but to smash her to pieces and grind her into the ground. The level of hatefulness seen in comment-threads on liberal blogs by Obama supporters is disgusting. It's fine to support one candidate and to disagree with the other but to attempt to bludgeon a candidate with personal attacks is beyond contempt. What's even more incredible is that many intelligent and reasonable people who are passionately devoted to Obama can let those strong emotions blind them to the fact that Barack is not God and Hillary is not the Devil.
Garrett Scott, an Obama supporter says:
"But what I do not understand is the childish tactics of name calling and reducing complicated issues into simple accusations. I agree that the name calling has gotten ridiculous, although the names you cited are just silly, not abhorent as those that some Obama supporters are lobbying at Hillary. I am surprised you have not seen these because Hillary-bashers have been filling the comment threads of the liberal blogs with viciousness for months. It's fine to support one candidate over another and to raise questions about a candidates policies and abilities but to churn up such hate and bile toward a woman who has served the public well for many years is disgusting.
Regarding Michigan & Florida delegate solution, compromise or whatever you want to call it: Keep in mind all those persons who never went to the polls to vote (since they were told their votes would not count. There must be a FAIR way for those people to have the chance to say who they would vote for -- as well as the folks who went out to vote anyway -- either by caucus, another primary or SOMETHING. The King-Pins made this happen, not the people. Think about it.
