Professor Edozien

Frankie Edozien, the New York Post reporter who broke the story of the City Council’s long-held practice of “parking” money in the city budget and doling it out to groups later, has some more news to share.

After covering this place for seven years, he’s leaving.

Edozien is going to report on health care issues in Africa as part of a fellowship with the Kaiser Family Foundation, and then he'll be joining the faculty of New York University to teach journalism.

And no, he’s not used to being called professor.

Notwithstanding his recent good work, how can anyone believe that a working NYC journalist will be able to teach young cub reporters anything other than turning press releases into "news" or nodding their head at anything the Mayor might say devoid of scrutiny? NYC reporters don't think; they regurgitate.

I doubt the prior poster reads newspapers. But he's probably an expert on the September 11 and the Trilateral Commission.
