Apocalypse Dow! CBRE Cancels Global Conference Due to 'Current Business Climate'
Add this to the long list of signs that the economy is in the crapper.
CB Richard Ellis has cancelled its 2009 World Conference! The good folks at The Real Deal first noticed this discreet little paragraph on the brokerage giant's Web site:
"Thank you for your interest in CB Richard Ellis and the 2009 World Conference. In light of the current business climate and after careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the 2009 event. This was not an easy decision, but one that will relieve our clients, sponsors and exhibitors of a significant expense at a time when the business community faces a challenging economic environment.
We look forward to working with you on the 2010 World Conference."
What goodies will this ugly economy dole out next? We'll keep you posted.
