Recchia Has Global Strategy Group for Fossella Race

Councilman Domenic Recchia has kept a low profile since the congressman he is trying to unseat, Vito Fossella, got arrested for driving drunk.

But when political consultant Jefrey Pollock prefaced remarks about Fossella on NY1 last night by saying he’s working for Recchia’s campaign, that was news.

Pollock is president of Global Strategy Group, a company with clients that have included John Edwards, Freddy Ferrer, Eliot Spitzer and Cory Booker.

Recchia has $325,175.77 in his campaign account, more than Fossella has with $248,496.48. Recchia’s opponent in the Democratic primary, attorney Steve Harrison, has $91,131.73.

I don't even think GSG can help Mr. Recchia. It's kind of hard to try to persuade the voters in Staten Island & Brooklyn who actually vote, that Mr. Recchia isn't a BUM. He stuck someone who was on a CERT team in Brooklyn for over $ 4000.00 and just doesn't care. My advice to Mr. Pollack is get paid upfront from this guy. He's bad, very bad news.

watch it again. what Pollack said was that he represented Recchia who was "considering" running for the congressional seat. Interesting choice of words, no? Plus note what Pollack did NOT say - he didn't say he represented him in the race for congress -- he just said he represented him. Perhaps he reps him for brooklyn bp (he's running, apparently for both seats) or even as councilman.... someone should ask.
