Robin Williams, Russian Idol

Among last night's American Idol Gives Back performances by Fergie, Snoop Dogg, John Legend and others was Robin Williams, who came onto the stage in character as a Russian Idol named Ivan Yakinov. Mr. Williams, or rather Mr. Yakinov, wore a shirt that he got at an "Elton John garage sale," sang Putin's favorite song, and talked about Russian reality-television series like "So You Think You Can Drink." Watch the video to see him grab Simon's ass in "a brokeback way" and more.

This should have never been aired as it is disrespectful to Russians. I now look at Robin Williams in a whole new negative way. What a degenerate.

Robin Williams did a shameful performance...it was simply trush. Can "American Idol" "give back" without insulting other countries? Mr. Williams has no idea about Russia and Russians. He has demonstrated his degeneration. "American Idol" is big disappointment...I was a fun of this show, but not now. I do not think that Mr. Williams will apolozise for this shame.

Robin Williams is a racist (not verified) says:

One comment he made, how Russian men are short and Russian women are fat. Funny thing, they showed a plenty short fat women in their videos. Yet it would have been politically incorrect to make a joke about that. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have been all over him.

If you compare fat american women vs. fat russian women, the proportion will be near 1000 to 1.

On April 10th 1980, as Mr. Williams was in Valletta, Malta. On a break from3J6VH filming Poppy, he and a small group walked in off the street into the St. Andrews of Scottland Seamans Chapel. I and my lovely bride were in the middle of our wedding ceremony. He and his friends sat in the back quietly until we started to walk down the isle. As we solomely walked, we heard Mr. Williams, with head bowed saying "Don't do it, Don't do it!" We almost lost it we were laughing so hard. Anyway, last night on the occasion of our anniversery who do we happen to see,,You guessed, the show was great and gave extra meaning to our anniversery ! Thank you Mr. Williams ! Cheers

Thanks "American Idol", goood job!!! I have a question to producer/doctor of this "show": how long robin williams has mental problems? It is obvious, he is not healthy...Maybe he was simply drunk...I am confuse...or maybe I do not understand american humor which is based on insulting people?
