600 Broadway Closes for Over $1,000 a Foot

Just shy of a year since it went to contract, SoHo's 600 Broadway closed for $71 million--more than $1,000 a square foot. We broke the news last year that a group of investors lead by Alex Adjmi bought the six-story home of Pottery Barn from Enterprise Assett Management, and today the Jan. 16 deed was filed in city records.
Though it's not the first SoHo retail space this year to go into contract for Midtown-style prices, it may signal a shift for the neighborhood, where ground-floor rents on Broadway hover between $282 to $400 as foot, according to Cushman & Wakefield.
