Shvo-volving Door: Many Vacancies at Former Wunderkind's Firm

Michael Shvo's eponymous firm dominates the job board recently launched by The Real Deal magazine. Of the 16 help-wanted ads on the board, 11 are from Shvo. (Only seven are actually labeled as coming from Shvo; the other four come from an unnamed "top international luxury real estate branding, marketing and sales firm" that has a partner list conspicuously similar to Shvo's.)
Page Six wrote in December that Mr. Shvo's office had “become a revolving door of miserable workers” thanks to his allegedly abusive treatment. Now, his firm is all at once looking for: a sales agent; a project director; a PR manager; an executive vice president of marketing; a vice president of sales; a chief financial officer; and more.
Some of the ads ask job candidates the million-dollar question: Are you ready to SHVO?
Well, are you?

Its sad but true. Everyone hates their lives there...including him. I think its a trickle down effect of misery. Its a "your in and your out" kind of place...whether its your decision or his, its going to happen and it usually happens within 4-5 months. This is coming from a former employee.
Being a former employee as well, all I have to say is that we all rode the "SHVO WAVE" and unfortunately for him, it's coming to its end. I personally feel that I left at a good time. I was miserable.
What did you specifically hate there that made it miserable?
this company is a mess internally and its a big secret shvo wants to hide from all his clients. he's the major source for all the company's problems and delays. he's in way over his head with a team that's crumbling and no structure to support the company growth. plus, he can't seem to fully close a project. a lot of other sh*t that opened when 20 pine and jade opened are sold out but not his buildings! if you're "ready to shvo" then you're ready to swallow your sefl respect and work for the most insecure, indecisive and unappreciative man in marketing and watch your career and health quickly deteriorate.
I am hoping to apply there for a job because I am generally quite fond of business people who are aggressive and have rags to riches stories. But these stories about him make me a skeptic....advice anyone?

working for michael is truly a nightmare. The company internally is just a mess. Specifically, people are hired to only be fired within 5 months. Michael has some type of disorder that hinders him from properly communicating with those who are "beneath" him. His money has gotten to his head. Yes, some people want to work for that aggressive manhattan/devil wears prada boss... I wanted to but there is a way that employees NEED to be treated. Michael is abusive and does not understand the importance of employee employer relations. Eventually, karma will catch up with this son of a bitch. I do NOT suggest working for this fascist asshole.
you are all pikers and cant take the heat, so get out of the fucking kitchen.
michael shvo is a prick. dont ever work for him. i

What about working for any of the Sales Directors? Is it just as miserable??
I worked directly for michael. My office was right next to his. The way he treats people is disgusting. it's not that people can't take the heat, it's truly the simple fact that something is wrong with him. the way he treats people is inhumane. if he weren't so nasty i would feel bad for him. even if you work in another department, it will affect you.
