Sad news in Meerkat-land. The Washington Post's Lisa de Moraes is reporting that another star of Animal Planet's breakout series Meerkat Manor, has died. According to The Post:
[C]ast members drop like flies because it's, you know, real life and the life expectancy of a meerkat is even shorter than the average career span of a supermodel. On this show alone, meerkat stars whose television careers got cut short include Flower, Mozart, Carlos, Tosca, Big Si, Shakespeare, Cazanna, Kinkajou and the latest fatality.
An obituary for Flower, who was "born in 2000 and [was] the matriarch to her family," can be found here. The show's producers had just completed their fourth season when tragedy struck.
We're not going to tell you who died this time—it's just too painful—but we'll reproduce Ms. de Moraes' very serious, very all-caps spoiler alert and let you decide for yourself whether or not to follow the link to her article: "DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS* IF YOU ARE A MEERKAT-ANATIC AND DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHICH MEERKAT HAS DIED."
