A City Hall Staffer for Senate?

According to two Republican sources, City Hall staffer Fred Kreizman is considering a run for state Senate on their line against Democrat Diane Savino, whose district includes parts of Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Kreizman works in the Community Assistance Unit and has previously taken some time off from work to help Republican state Senate candidate Maureen O'Connell on Long Island, who lost her special election race earlier this year to Democrat Craig Johnson.

A message left at Kreizman's work number earlier this week was returned by an assistant who said he was out of the office. A message left on his work line was not returned.

One of the two Republican sources I spoke with said Kreizman is still contemplating whether to run, and that there are other Republican candidates who are looking to enter the race.

I think he should run against Ms. Savino. Just by the fact that she is supporting Councilman Domenic Recchia against Mr. Harrison in the CD13 race, shows she is just another political hack. If she can't see through Mr. Recchia & what he stands for, what can we expect of her? What has she accomplished in the Senate? Nothing to speak of. She's not a fighter, she's a conformer. She's backing Hillary Clinton because the political bosses say she has to. She can't stand on her own, she has to be propped up by the establishment. I'm a democrat & live in her district, & she can't count on my vote, and that she can take to the bank.

that is a ridiculous post. one wonders how you feel about steve harrison supporting marty golden over vinnie gentile for the senate in 2002. if traitorous opportunistic "democrats"
like steve and carl kruger hadn't backed golden, a right-wing republican, gentile and savino would now be in the Majority in the senate.

...and thinking about gentile and savino in the MAJORITY is exactly why Kreizman should run.
