Sunday, February 24th

This article was published in the February 20, 2008, edition of The New York Observer.

Oh, baby: The Oscars! Give us a heaping helping of Daniel Day-Lewis dipped in humus, please, following the peacocked-out parade of plastic surgery and pharmaceutical smiles. For those inclined to leave the house, New York magazine uncorks an Oscar Party tonight at the Spotted Pig, where we’re betting the Jerusalem Artichoke Salad will overshadow anything the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences can dream up (i.e., hip-hop songs, with a stage filled with dancers, about how it’s hard out there for a pimp).
