Hypocrit! I want to be reimbursed as a NY taxpayer,
A brilliant man with his brains in his pants.
Feel sorry for his family. Hope there is no plea deal and he goes to jail and has a gay man as a cell mate!
Mr. Righteous-you ruined your family and your career for sex
which you yourself tried to close these rings. I do hope the women do not go to jail, only you. If it was not for the men like yourself these women would not be in business.
All that money wasted for your so called pleasure. I pity you-you are scum. All the poor people in Ny and you waste your money (taxpayers money) on sex

I feel kind of bad for the guy. Lovely wife and family, tons of money --why such incredibly dangerous behavior on so many levels? I am not sure what bargaining power he can have over resigning. I would think the Bush/Republican administration could care less if he tries to stay in office and keep this thing in the press.

Bad,Bad dirty man The public look for more out of Public figures. Hopefully this can be a future lesson to all who aspire to become public figures "what's done in the dark will come out in the light"

Prostitution is not a victimless crime....those who call themselves "libertarians" and advocate legalizing prostitution are advocating abuse...mostly of young women (some underage)who have frequently been abused or neglected as children. It perpetuates a system of abuse of women.

Libertarian Girl (not verified) says:

Anon, you are dead wrong about the libertarian bit. Many women are not abused by this and know exactly what they're doing. As a woman myself, I disagree with you that women are inherently stupid and victims and can't make their own choices. Because we don't have a better (libertarian) economy, many people feel this is a good way for them to go.

Some women in other countries such as Thailand have begged to be able to still be prostitutes when the locality makes it illegal; it's the only way they can feed their families. I think no one should do it and that it's wrong, but I feel the same way about adultery or alchohol, and those are perfectly legal. Until we get poverty taken care of, and until other jobs can reach the level a woman can make as a prostitute (unlikely, due to the disgusting old men who are glad to pay high prices for it), it will be around and will be in some cases maybe a good option for desperately poor people.

In a legalized system such as those in Nevada and elsewhere, no one would be a victim just as they are now, wondering if they'll get diseases and all that. This woman CHOSE to be a prostitute and to meet Spitzer in DC; she is no victim.
