Vanity Fair Aims for Daily 'Original Reporting' on Politics

via vanityfair.com

As big magazines dip their toes a little deeper into the Internet, Vanity Fair plans to write more about politics!

An editorial associate, Christopher Bateman, has been assigned the task of writing about it on their daily blog and introduced himself to the fraternity of webby political writers with an e-mail today. He explained the purpose of the blog: "What we're aiming to do on VF Daily is really produce some original reporting that will be of interest to savvy political observers."

Also, he's learned the art of playing well with others on the Internet: "I hope you'll check it out every now and then and that you won't mind if I email you a link or two to posts that might be of particular relevance to you. I know I'll be reading your site and linking to it, so I also want to say keep up the good work and thanks on behalf of VF."

His first post is up.
