A Very Local Angle On Times Climb-gate Story

Wood Peace in Our Time?
Wood Peace in Our Time?

While The New York Daily News and The New York Post had identical takes on yesterday's double publicity stunt at The New York Times Building, one Post employee managed to find a new angle on the story. Herself.

In a post on the paper's group weight loss blog (running 'till June 23rd!), Amanda (whose last name is not provided but who has already lost 10.6 lbs.) wrote:

Not unlike the 2ND GUY CLIMBING UP THE TIMES BUILDING IN ONE DAY AT THIS VERY MOMENT (?!?!?!?!?!?).....I too have learned to climb! Last night I went rock climbing on a giant wall at Chelseas Piers with former Post Get-Fit drill sergeant Mary, and "40-by-40" Isaac. After making our way through the labyrinthine complex that is the Chelsea Piers, passing on our way every possible sport ever known to man, we finally made it to the climbing wall. Here we met instructor Les, who showed us the "ropes" (har har).

Next challenge, The New York Times!
