The Wall Street Journal’s soon-to-be launched glossy magazine, WSJ., has harvested more mediaflesh. Men’s Vogue managing editor Owen Phillips will become Tina Gaudoin’s deputy. Keith Kelly has the story.
Meanwhile, The Guardian reports that the Journal has hired two columnists away from the Murdoch-admired Financial Times:
The Wall Street Journal has hired Financial Times journalists Thorold Barker and Liam Denning, who write the New York content for the London-based paper's popular and influential Lex column.
The WSJ confirmed both appointments but declined to give details about their roles. However, it is believed both Barker and Denning have been recruited to write for Heard on the Street, WSJ's equivalent to Lex, which has run since the 1960s.
