One observation from a reader about today’s closely watched, crucial special election in the 48th senate district race between Democrat Darrel Aubertine and Republican Will Barclay:
"Special Elections revolve around turnout first and foremost. So, when you consider this district's unique character, the best predictions will come not from a political insider but from a meteorologist who can analyze the weather patterns of the southern shore of Lake Ontario vs. the eastern shore."
The Watertown Daily Times says it's cold up there.

The GOP deserves everything that has happened to them thus far.
More NY State Senate & Assembly Seats lost,
US Senate & Congressional Seats lost,
Statewide tickets lost,
GOP Counties lost across the State.
More importantly, What the Party use to stand for has been lost with the GOP leading the charge on more taxes and more spending!

What are the ignorant people of New York doing...voting for Democrats instead...just because Bruno mentions spending? What do they think they are going to get with the Dems?? I can't believe that Republicans will vote Dem just because the GOP field is so bad. Doesn't make sense. The only conclusion I can come to about NY and New England is that the only people left in all of those states are pansy's who vote Dem for some stupid reason. Just because a candidate has a capital D behind their name they vote for them. Suckers....You all deserve what you get...the Massachusettization of your state.
