Phew! That soulless clusterhump of a holiday some call Valentine’s Day is over, and the only man we dream about anymore is Barack Obama, owing to the fact that we can’t allow ourselves to entertain thoughts of him during waking hours lest he disappear—poof!—and break our heart like all the rest. So we’re being aloof! Meanwhile: Will global warming please make up his (her?) mind? Because it’s giving us pneumonia on top of the flu and consumption we’ve already been forced to endure, thanks to every person below 14th Street (have you people ever heard of sanitary wipes?). Heading uptown, “Words About Music” at Symphony Space is modeled after Inside the Actors Studio. Tonight it’s Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, the duo responsible for Broadway’s teenage sex romp Spring Awakening, which we’ll never recover from accidentally dragging Mom to. (It’s about the frickin’ 1800’s!?) Speaking of which, frustratingly ageless Joan Allen hosts the eighth annual MILF convention sponsored by MORE magazine and Wilhelmina Models, wherein aspiring models over the age of 40 will vie for a modeling contract. Finalists include Lilian Williams of Costa Mesa, Calif., of whom a press release crows: “This 40-year-old dental assistant knows who she is and isn’t afraid to show it.” This we have to see.

[Words About Music, Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, 7 p.m., 212-864-5400; MORE/Wilhelmina Model Search, Cipriani, 110 East 42nd Street, 7 p.m.]
