No more super stuff? Is it really over? The Super Bowl and Super Tuesday are gone and even the Super Torture of Fashion Week is about to stylishly go buh-bye. Which means we’ll be stranded in the middle of … February. Yikes! Cherry Lane Theatre opens Killing the Boss not a moment too soon! This nifty little dark comedy is about a formerly altruistic woman who plots to kill her boss “out of fury, frustration and addiction to her fight against social injustice.” Whoa, let’s move onto something more upbeat, like a fund-raiser for UNICEF and the Raising Malawi Orphan Care Initiative hosted by—wow, can’t make this up—Gucci and Madonna on the North Lawn of the United Nations. Since rock stars are now the preeminent global ambassadors for the world’s poor, the Material Girl-turned-Kabbalah-yogi-conservationist will be joined by Alicia Keys, Timbaland and Rihanna in bringing attention to both world hunger and the opening of the new Gucci flagship on Fifth Avenue! Meanwhile, Michael Kors, Milly’s Michelle Smith and cute Brit Temperley trump their wares at the—yep, still standing!—tents in Bryant Park.
