Two days after Wired lost its publisher to The Atlantic, the magazine has its replacement.
Chris Mitchell, the publisher of Details, will move over to take over the VP/publisher role at Wired magazine, Condé Nast group president David Carey told Media Mob. Mitchell has been the publisher of Details since 2004, and before that worked as the advertising director of Wired and was an associate publisher of The New Yorker.
"He has an intuitive understanding of the WIRED brand, and has great Rolodex strength across a host of key categories," said Mr. Carey. "He's a highly creative publisher, and a very good guy to boot. We sure got lucky on this one, a perfect fit of executive and assignment."
