The third season of Gossip Girl, which will follow the stylized teens into their college years, doesn’t premiere on the CW until Sept. 14. But the cast and crew has been filming on the streets of New York since June 29 and the candid shots captured by photographers seem to be somewhat telling of the plot points to come.

While we already know that singer Hillary Duff and Joanna Garcia (Privileged) will be joining the show as recurring characters in season three, many questions are still left unanswered. Will Blair and Chuck really, really be together now? Will Little J make Blair proud as the new Queen Bee of Constance Billard? Will the already curmudgeony Dan become even more intolerable as a college student?

Click through our slideshow as we observe the filming from afar and speculate.

  • Back Forward Nate Archibald will receive a shiny new Ferrari from his imposing, love-buying grandfather who'll inevitably ask him to reconsider his internship at the mayor's office.

  • Back Forward Chuck and Blair will finally be together but she will find a reason to be unhappy about it and will wear flips-flops in protest.

  • Back Forward Jenny's shorts will get shorter, her legs will get longer, and her hair will turn a few shades blonder.
