Despite having entered the teen-drama sunset period of sending its characters off to college, Gossip Girl can still anger angry parents like in the good old days. Reports the AP:

On-air promos for a sexual threesome on an upcoming episode of "Gossip Girl" have spurred the Parents Television Council to ask affiliate stations of the CW network to pre-empt the show.

The organization's president, Tim Winter, says airing the story line on the teen-oriented soap is "reckless and irresponsible."

This required upping the ante from the previously unacceptable "cleavage kissing," but still. Just this morning, the Daily News wanted to know what happened to the buzz for the show that "was once on the tip of everyone's tongue." This afternoon:

In France it's called a "menage a trois." In America, it's called a "bad idea" - at least according to the Parent's Television Council.
