This is third-hand, so it probably requires a grain of salt. But: a Conde Nast editor tells a source tells Mediaite that Graydon Carter is offering laid-off Vanity Fair staffers jobs at his Monkey Bar.

That's one way, I guess, to cultivate an elite-media-insider ambiance.

This follows the trip to Bermuda that kept him out of office for VF layoffs.
