Big-Time Contractor Wants Big-Time Contract, Looking in Midtown for 90K Feet
Structure Tone, the general contractor that restored the glorious Tuckahoe marble facade of the MetLife tower and managed the build-out of Bloomberg LP’s lavishly modern offices at 731 Lex, is now looking after some of its own real estate needs.
The firm’s timing is perfect. For one, the principals probably have a lot more free time on their hands, and let’s just say they won’t face much competition from other tenants in the glutted office space market.
Structure Tone has hired Cushman & Wakefield pros John Cefaly and Kevin Daly to find about 90,000 square feet of office space in midtown or midtown south, according to sources. The office space will house both Structure Tone, which now sublets 72,000 square feet from MTV Online at Vornado Realty Trust’s 770 Broadway, and its affiliate Pavarini McGovern, now at 352 Park Avenue South.
Structure Tone declined to comment, but the firm had better get a move on! Its lease at 770 Broadway expires in 2010.
