According to the blog Planet Albany, someone is soliciting opinions about Andrew Cuomo’s campaign strategy. So, as it stands, Mr. Cuomo will try to become your next governor under one of the following slogans:
“The independence to do what’s right, the experience to get it done.”
“Independent leadership we can depend on.”
“Leadership that works for a change.”
“Strength, independence, results.”
Lots of talk about independence. According to Planet Albany, there were follow-up questions about whether the Democrat should run on another ballot line too, just to underscore exactly how independent he is from the powers-that-be in Albany. (Might we suggest the Independence Party?)
Rick Lazio already planted a flag in leadership–”New Ideas. New Leadership.“–so numbers 2 or 3 would make things particularly redundant.
What’s wrong with “Yes We Can“?
