Poll: Lazio Leads Levy Among GOP, Cuomo Trounces All

Andrew Cuomo leads his two likely Republican opponents, Rick Lazio and Steve Levy, according to a new Siena poll.

On the Republican side, Lazio leads Levy 45 to 16 percent. Lazio’s lead grew to 60 to 19 percent when people were told Levy, a Democrat-turned-Republican County Executive, was a former GOP congressman.

The poll also showed George Pataki leading Kirsten Gillibrand 45 to 39 percent, with 15 percent undecided. And 35 percent of New Yorkers said they believe very little or nothing of what Governor David Paterson says.
