Welcome to It’s Free to Look, an innocent and daily peek inside a New York apartment listed for at least $3 million. Out of your price range? No problem. Thus the name. It’s how the other one-tenth of 1 percent live!

One Hundred U.N. Plaza is one of the city's more earnest addresses. Contemplate world peace while gazing on the U.N. gardens, or chat about Greece's financial meltdown with your neighbor, the ambassador.

Sotheby's International is listing units 27AE and 27B together, offering over 4,800-square-feet of living space, including six bedrooms and six full bathrooms. The condo's weighty oak and black granite décor also includes a seriously pirate-themed bedroom, with a two-story model ship for a bed.

The building, built in 1986 and designed by architects Der Scutt and Schuman, Lichtenstein, Claman & Efron, has been described as "tall, shiny, dark, but desirable," besting even the nearby Trump Tower. You could also say it looks like a lethal 52-story glass and steel arrowhead piercing the eastern midtown skyline. The good news is, from the comfort of your own living room, you will be the only one in the neighborhood not forced to look. — Laura Kusisto
