DeLoach Follows Darrison Out of Paterson’s Office

Cy Vance's new campaign manager is Michael DeLoach, who just emailed friends to say he's leaving his job in David Paterson's office.

Cindy Darrison, a fund-raiser for Vance who used to work for David Paterson and now works for Paterson's de facto rival Andrew Cuomo, tells Liz he has a great Rolodex.

Also, DeLoach, who worked in the governor's office under former chief of staff Charles O'Byrne, was one the Paterson aides who popped up in a Daily News story about staffers who ran up "questionable" charges on state credit cards.

Here's DeLoach's email, which was forwarded to me by a reader:

Subject: Cy Vance Campaign

To: Michael DeLoach With mixed emotions I wanted to let you know that I will soon be leaving Governor Paterson's office to serve as campaign manager for Cy Vance's Manhattan District Attorney campaign. It has been such an honor to work and learn from Governor Paterson and his entire staff.

Cy is an amazing candidate and the opportunity to highlight his experience, integrity and vast support to the residents of Manhattan is too hard to pass up. I will spare you the political pitch for now but look forward to following up in the future regarding his campaign. He will be a great District Attorney.

If you need to reach me, I am always available on my cell phone (347-###-####) or by email at michaeldeloach@#####.com.
