What does Charles Barron think of the coup in Albany, orchestrated by fellow Democrat Pedro Espada Jr. and Barron’s former colleague in the City Council, Hiram Monserrate?
Barron said he would have “left” Monserrate and Espada "right there with the Republicans," and use the Democratically controlled Assembly and governor's mansion to push Democratic legislation through Albany.
Barron said, “Now, every senator has veto power. Any one senator can say ‘I’m going to flip this side or that side.’ So, you’re rewarding flip-flopping. You’re rewarding sellouts.”
He goes on to describe Monserrate and Espada like this: “These are hustlers hustling hustlers.”
