Thompson Filmed First Ad on Saturday

Bill Thompson filmed his first television ad this Saturday in offices of one of his consultants, the Mirram Group, a campaign spokesman confirmed.

Thompson people have been filming his public appearances and sending out a video at the end of each week noting their activities. But he has a considerable amount of work to do boosting his name recognition compared to that of Michael Bloomberg, a lavishly self-financed two-term mayor whose ads in mailboxes and on television have been ubiquitous since March.

A spokesman for the Thompson campaign, Mike Murphy, confirmed the filming on Saturday, but declined to provide any details.
