Oppo Researcher Wanted

Some citywide campaign is looking to hire a researcher, according to this job ad that landed in my inbox. The ad appeared on Jobs That Are Left, a distribution list founded by activist Courtney K. Sieloff, and used by liberal operatives and electeds (like Andrew Cuomo).

I'll update if I find anything out about which campaign is doing the hiring. Anyway, here’s the ad:

Research Associate

NYC citywide campaign is looking for a research associate for 2009 election. The research associate will be part of an active research team operating in an extremely competitive and high profile environment. Successful applicants will have previous research experience, excellent writing skills and the ability to function in high-energy, high-pressure atmosphere.

Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting campaign research utilizing news articles, legal records, tax records and other sources;

• Drafting thematic memos, talking points and rapid response documents.
