'Best Comptroller Ever'

“I think he will go down in history as maybe the best comptroller the city has ever had.”
That was Michael Bloomberg describing Bill Thompson during a speech at Tufts in 2007. It’s being circulated by Thompson’s campaign in response to the assertion from Bloomberg’s campaign that Thompson mishandled the city pension funds.
The video was uploaded to Thompson's YouTube page about an hour ago. It could make make for a compelling television ad, if Thompson were running for re-election as comptroller, or had enough money to sustain a prolonged television ad buy.
