Perkins is wrong on a number of levels to run against Virginia. Basically at root 'its silly'. After the party's disaster with Mr. Ferrer, 'caused by the Bronx Democrat's lack class and fairness, political chivalry and the shocking misguidance and of faithlessness of advisors like Lyn and Mc'? Mr. Perkins should know better. I for one want to see Virginia in Albany and she is a solid fit for the Upper Manhattan constituency. As a trained and experienced legislature and county administrator, as BP, she will do much to enhance the climate and political culture for all New Yorkers.
As for Mr. Perkins now is a good time to show a measure of heart and commitment to 'the root cause' by challenging for Congress. Why try to pick on a good, honorable woman and loose when you can gloriously fight with a powerful man and maybe win a great national victory for the democratic process. I belive in his heart Mr. Rangel wants to face the voters again, win or loose.
The man is a soldier.
I and most can understand a Congressional contest. I say Run Perkins Run for Congress.
Leave Virginia alone.
