Reality Check (not verified) says:
Mark Green is simply attempting to capitalize on his name recognition to sell more books before he looses his primary election. Since he now faces an "electability" issue (given the recent poll that shows him clinging to a 4 point lead against Pirro), he needs to drum up some support for his lackluster campaign by seeking to portray himself as an ideological foil to President Bush. The problem is he's running for attorney general and is facing a primary opponent (Cuomo) who is also ideologically opposed to Bush. The book signing is not going to make one bit of difference one way or the other. We have learned however that the poster above who noted that the book signing is a one-day appearance is a Green insider (privy to such information) and nothing more than a shill attempting to drum up support for Green.
