My name is Peter. I did some jail time after working with John Stewart on Wall Street in the 1980's. John managed to get off the hook as he had more money hidden away in his Delaware LLC.
It is my vague recollection that 115 Bank street used to be a printing house in the 50's. I believe it was MOulet or something french. I also have a limited edition print from this printing house. It was a very prestigious printer. I was walking my dog passed there the other day. It looks like they are putting up COndo's at 115-113 Bank Street. I also heard that Daniel Loeb's flipped the house for a few million profit. They just let it sit there for four years. Amazing.
I also had a friend in the art world, an Opera composer kid from Phili. He did some art installation work on the side for the Robert Wilson art hedge fund aka John Stewart Partnership. John L. Stewart was his boss. Apparently John L. Stewart coerced him into taking large check payments from ? , clearing them through his account, and then giving the cash to John. John Stewart had a sob story to explain away the unethical propositions and dangled possible introductions to famous patrons of the arts. He also told me that the guy barely could make his mortgage payments and would make a living ripping off his tenants upstairs. He would use his connections to the art world to scam highly respected social figures, like Beth Rudin DeWoody, Phil Glass, art dealers like Max Protecht, or Morning Slater. These rich people can right it off as a loss but when he steals and damages the credit of young artists, that is pure Evil. Also the wealthy ones who were duped think it's funny. "hee, hee , you got me darling!" I heard that Asher Edelman, the art collector, knew about all these allegations, he laughed. There is a segment of perverted wealthy New York society that revels in hearing how others get suckered out of money. Its' like" ha, ha, you got duped, Welcome to New York sucker." He's still out there running the same scams since selling the stolen house, riding around in that leased black BMW station wagon (ATH1234) He and Bob sold allot of the art. I think Uptown Bob has ended his business associations with him. I heard he's moved up to work-over New Hampshire and back out to SOuth Hampton. Anyone in New Hampshire have a story for us ?
