Angela Washington Ruff nonymous (not verified) says:

My youngest son is autistic and he was a twin as well but unfornately we miscarried the other twin about two months into the pregnancy. He has two older siblings.I do agree that many individuals do not understand autism. When I noticed that my son wasn't quite progressing in the manner of which my older two did, I sought out help , not knowing that Autism would be dropped in my lap or the term like a ton of bricks just dropped on my head. But we love DeAngelo unconditional as we do all three of our children. I got involved with educating myself so I would learn and know what I had to do. Although I attend many workships it's still hard to deal with from time to time. I do know that God placed "D" as we affectionatley call him.I still cry and cry when I talk about DeAngelo, But I will always remem-ber what my first early interventionist told me; she said Angela God placed DeAngelo in your life for a special reason and I said yes just to love him.
