I've had the pleasure to attend a Birthday Party fr one of the Guccione Sons with a Model friend of mine in the early 90's and I tell you that Mansion was something special. I agree with the writer the indoor pool gave me EXACTLY that thought when I saw it. Nobody was swimming in it, it was an empty floor and I was waiting for a toga wearing servant to appear with a bowl of grapes and a pigs head. gaudy indeed. The whole place was...indeed memorable! The party was held in a lovely sunny room with adjacent rooms connected by french doors (I think). There was a man playing a beautiful grand piano and most memorable were the Rembrandt paintings along the staircase and the other Italian Paintings from the 1600's. THAT was literally AWESOME! As an artist and Italophile, my mouth dropped to the floor. Even while living in Italy it was rare to attend a party in a Palazzo with original paintings from the Renaissance.
