we stayed at the Pennsylvania Hotel from 14th March to 19th March,2008.We live in Scotland and this trip to New York was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I was looking forward to visit New York for the first and to stay at a comfortable hotel ( as it is described on the website). But what a disappointment when checked in at about 12.30 a.m. to be allocated a room that so unwelcoming: it smelled ranked, the bed clothes did not look very clean and it was freezing.we went back to reception to complain and were given an other room that was not much better but by that time it was getting quite late and we were so tired that we settled in the best we could. This the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. So much for being one of the biggest Hotel in Manhattan! there was no room service, the lighting was dodgy and the shower did not work properly ( the water running mainly cold).
