steve, good analysis.
i agree that webb started very slow and was being boxed in by both graham and russert. but, wow, when he did start swinging.
i saw him being the adroit politician that all senators think they should be. and, honestly, to get along w/ others that they may need to work with in the future, i understand the acumen needed.
but, webb, is gonna do great. he learned that he doesn't have to get personnal to make his point and make it forcefully. he was just short of punching the guy, but he didn't, and he did scare the bejesus out the the now hasbeen graham.
also, you could have been more forceful about russert's right leaning bias.
