I would think narrowing the width of the International Herald Tribune would be more of a challenge. IHT is printed at six sites worldwide.
In the US, IHT prints approximately 6,000 copies in Maspath, New York -- at a contracted site not owned by NYT.
In addition to Maspath, several of the sites are also not NYT company owned.
You will notice there is additional white space framing the page. That is because of variations in newsprint sizes used at the various IHT print locations.
Incidentally, in the US, the IHT is treated as a stepchild of the NYT family in distribution and sales. What a shame that is, considering the different view, a truly global perspective, IHT carries.
