A relative of mine recently lost her home after they were forced to borrow a fixed rate mortgage. They were forced into this position because the pension her husband earned during his working years wastossed into litigation after the company he worked for was sold. The purchasing company claims it did not buy the pension, which due to the original employer's failure to fully fund the pension, was assumed by the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Adding insult to injury was the change in bankruptcy laws which made it impossible to shed the debt that they had incurred due to the pension loss. Since no one seems to care about the working class any more would it be okay if we stopped paying taxes like the rich?
