MHP (not verified) says:
The fact is that once the public makes someone an icon even they sometimes have trouble measuring up. Certainly no one would give a 2nd wife to Paul McCartney a chance -- she not only married Paul, but took the place of Linda (at least, some people would feel she was intruding into Linda's space). Then she had the nerve to leave him.
To think that people would be threatening her life is crazy.
Barbara may have hurt her credibility. I certainly know if I were a celebrity that I would hesitate to give her an interview if she were going to comment to others about me after. Barbara should have kept her mouth shut. Especially such trival things - if she'd kicked her child - that might be another matter.
The fact is most of us don't know the truth about what goes on in the lives of our family members much less someone in the public eye. It is time we quit making judgments based upon bits and pieces.
