I am glad to read that Barbara Walters is regaining her dignity in refusing to interview publicity seeking people like Brittany Spears.
I had always admired Barbara Walters work until she began to do that awful "everyone talk over each other" show. She and the original group of women on that show justified everything everyone always disliked about women. -i.e., They talk too much about nothing important, they are rude, catty, and undignified.
Being a woman myself I did not appreciate being "view"ed in that light. The women I know are, for the most part, kind, informative, and less judgmental of those who have stumbled in public. They can even engage in serious conversation without boring the audience.
