Mr. Conason's record and reporting stands for itself. Candidate Clinton may engage in some rough and tumble politics, but I doubt it will be anywhere near the outright lies and falsehoods promoted by Republican tactics. I can remember a time when dirty trick politics only operated on the local, and easily countered, level. Rove, Cheney and Bush have elevated the game.
