hey what was it that made you feel unsafe near the DeKalb L? that area is actually really nice, and in my opinion is much safer than the Montrose & Morgan stops. the residents are a mix of families that have been there for years and the second and third wave of transplants from further west (wlmsbrg, greenpoint, etc). there are plenty of deli's & laundromats, a supermarket and a post-office, and even a thompson square-esque city park. and there is certainly no shortage of authentic mexican restaurants! anyways, welcome back to brooklyn!
