Edwards' sculptures makes me uncomfortable, perhaps because he exaggerates his subject's dominant feature/flaw. There's Spears' commercial sexuality, Hilton's supine emptiness and Winfrey's mother-to-the-world physique/psyche. In a celeb-crazy world full of adulation and imitation, his renderings are far from flattering, aren't they? I like to think of Edwards as a visual satirist/pundit in the Hogarthian vein.
